To explore some of the reasons behind gender disparity in higher education, our recent journal article (Jung, Schinberg, and Xie 2020) used citation analysis to examine citation patterns of male and female scholars of about 300 articles during a ten-year period from two arts administration journals. The aim of the study was to provide several conclusions and possible explanations as to why female scholars are a lot less cited than male scholars, tying in theory and proposing various further implications for practice. I will share a series of postings related to this topic in the next two months or so!
